Before & After Care
In before- and after-care, children have the opportunity to access play-based materials before/after their intense Montessori routine. These free play time allows children further develop their social skills and extend friendships within the classroom through playing, eating, and engaging in arts and crafts together. We often hear a lot of laughing during extended care.
If any children are missing the morning Montessori work cycle, we also adjust the after-school hours to help them catch up with the curriculum.
School is not just a place of learning, school is also a place for children to grow.

Before & After Care
Gross Motor
Gross motor are developed through activities like outdoor time, yoga, bean bag toss, outdoor climbers, building blocks, walking on a line, and carrying materials around the class.
Fine Motor
Fine motor and hand eye coordination skills are also strengthened in this environment through activities like pasting, cutting, tong and puzzle activities.
Math
Math skills are enriched through a variety of counting songs, counting games, counting art exercises and the Montessori sandpaper numbers.
Social
The Toddler room is where your child begins to learn about caring for themselves, others, their classroom and the environment.
Emotional
We learn respect and empathy for others, respect for other’s work, sharing, and taking turns.
Independence
Toddlers are guided in learn how to wash their hands, use the toilet, get dressed and clean up after themselves. This helps build confidence and independence.
